During the event, the parties discussed the military and humanitarian situation in the region.
«"The enemy continues to shell settlements in the Kharkiv region every day, killing civilians and destroying the civilian infrastructure of the region. Border settlements suffer the most, but strikes are also being carried out in the city of Kharkiv. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding back the enemy at the cost of incredible efforts and preventing the occupiers from advancing through our territory," said Yevhen Ivanov.
Currently, the regional military administration is faced with a number of important and complex tasks - assistance to internally displaced people, restoration of civilian and critical infrastructure facilities, demining of territories. The most important task today is comprehensive assistance to the Defenders of Ukraine and the construction of fortifications and defense structures. It is in these areas that maximum efforts and resources are and will be directed, emphasized Yevhen Ivanov.
According to Pavel Koval, Poland plans to strengthen its participation in the reconstruction of the Kharkiv region and deepen cooperation with the regional military administration in projects already being implemented in the region.
«"It is important for us to learn about the most pressing requests that are currently facing the Kharkiv region, so that we can more fully provide support to the region," emphasized the Chairman of the Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on International Cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare a joint plan of priority actions in the direction of mutual cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the issue of demining the territory of the Kharkiv region and the prospect of involving relevant Polish specialists.
