By the decision of the session of the Chuguiv City Council (XI session of the VIII convocation) dated November 18, 2021, the Kochetok Starostynsky District was formed with the center in the village of Kochetok, consisting of the village of Kochetok.
As of January 1, 2025, 3,996 people live in the Kochetok Starostyn District, of which 992 are registered internally displaced persons.
The following are located on the territory of the village: the headman's office, Chuhuyevo-Babchansky Forestry Vocational College, the Kochetok Gymnasium, the Kochetok preschool educational institution - nursery school, the Kochetok general practice family medicine clinic, the Chuhuyevo City Center for Primary Health Care, the Kochetok Sanatorium School, the Kochetok Production Municipal Enterprise for Water Supply and Sewerage, the DONETS Water Treatment Complex, a separate subdivision of the KHARKIVVODOKANAL Municipal Enterprise, the Chuhuyevo-Babchansky Forestry State Enterprise, the Ukrposhta branch, the Nova Poshta branch, a pharmacy, 6 grocery stores, 4 grocery pavilions, a household goods store, and a market.

The headman – MAYBORODA Anastasia Anatoliivna, represents the interests of the residents of the village of Kochetok and exercises the powers defined by the legislation of Ukraine. The headman helps people in completing documents for local government bodies, promotes self-organization of the population, voices priority areas for the development of the territory, determines its problems, participates in sessions, in the preparation of draft council decisions regarding its territory, exercises control over the improvement of the area, receives information and materials from the authorities and officials for the exercise of their powers, and receives citizens.

1. In the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine", Article 54-1. Starosta.
2. In the Regulations on the Headman of the Chuhuyiv City Territorial Community, approved by the decision of the XI session of the Chuhuyiv City Council on November 18, 2021.
3. In the Job Instructions of the headman, approved by the Chuguiv City Mayor on December 17, 2020.
