Born on April 26, 1987 in the village of Zarozhne, Chuguyiv district, Kharkiv region. Studied at Zarozhne comprehensive school of grades I-III.
In civilian life, he worked as a handyman.
Until March 2022, Serhiy lived in the village of Ruski Tyshky with his common-law wife. On March 29, 2022, their house was shelled by the enemy, resulting in a fire and all his documents being destroyed, and in June 2022, the family moved to Kharkiv.
In February 2025, he was called up for mobilization by the Shevchenko RTCC and the Joint Service of the city of Kharkiv. He served in the 92nd separate assault brigade named after the Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko as a service number of the 2nd assault detachment of the 1st assault platoon of the 10th assault company of the 4th assault battalion, and in fact was a sniper.
In July 2025, the area around the settlement of Glyboke in the Kharkiv region was one of the key points of confrontation in the Kharkiv direction. After the large-scale breakthrough of Russian troops in this area was stopped, hostilities entered a phase of attrition. Ground operations in the area of this settlement were in the nature of positional battles and regular attempts by the occupiers to attack the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in order to improve their tactical position. Russian troops actively used aviation and artillery strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian defenders. Drone activity was observed. The front line near Glyboke remained dynamic, but no significant advances of the occupation forces in the direction of Liptsy were recorded. The Defense Forces of Ukraine confidently held the dominant heights and defensive lines.
Circumstances of death:
On July 12, 2025, the situation in the Kharkiv direction near the settlement of Hlyboke (north of Lyptsy) was characterized as stable, but it was under constant fire from enemy artillery, mortars, and FPV drones. While in positions near the settlement of Lyptsy, Kharkiv region, Serhiy and his comrades were hit by enemy artillery fire and UAVs.
For almost a year, his body, as an unidentified soldier, was in the Kharkiv Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination for the purpose of his identification. And since Serhiy has no close relatives, the identification procedure was carried out based on his belongings.
The deceased soldier was survived by a common-law wife, with whom he did not have time to officially register the marriage.
Serhiy Ozatsky was buried in the city of Chuguev on the Alley of Memory on July 10, 2026.
