The aid came from UNHCR as part of a working visit to the Kharkiv region by UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Office of Refugees, Oleg Synegubov.
«"We express our gratitude to the UN for providing 10 powerful generators for 7 communities of the Kharkiv region - Bogodukhivska, Pervomayska, Valkivska, Bezlyudivska, Lozivska, Vysochanska and Chuhuyivska. We understand that a difficult heating period is ahead. We are working to be ready to respond to various challenges. But I am convinced that with the cooperation and support of international partners, we will successfully get through the winter," said Oleg Synegubov.
Power generating equipment with a capacity of 10 to 60 kW is intended for critical infrastructure facilities and enterprises providing water and heat supply services. The generators will be useful to residents of settlements in the event of prolonged power outages caused by enemy shelling.
