As part of their visit to the Kharkiv region, UNICEF Global Humanitarian Office Director Lucia Elmi, UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Head Munir Mamedzadeh and representatives of the UNICEF team in Ukraine visited Chuguiv. The guests met with the Head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration Halyna Minaeva and visited a number of facilities in the Chuguiv community.

First of all, UNICEF representatives were introduced to the work of facilities that have been created and are operating in the Chuhuiv community with the assistance of this international organization. These include, in particular, educational spaces where children have the opportunity to study in person and spend active leisure time during the war.

The guests were also shown the consequences of the missile strike that destroyed preschool No. 8, one of the best and most popular kindergartens in Chuguev. According to Galina Minaeva, the institution is planned to be restored, and the community leadership hopes that international partners will help with this.

– UNICEF's cooperation with our community will continue: we will implement joint projects in the fields of education, healthcare, development of youth initiatives, housing and utilities, etc., – wrote Galina Minaeva in her Telegram channel. – I sincerely thank the team of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, for the effective partnership and assistance!
