
Born on 08/27/1975 in the city of Kaliningrad, Russian Federation, into a military family. After his parents moved to Ukraine, he lived in the military town of Klugino-Bashkirivka. In 1992, he graduated from Klugino-Bashkirivka secondary school. After graduating, he studied at Chuguyiv vocational school No. 19. He received a degree in electric and gas welder.

During 1993-1995 he served in military service, and in September 1995 he signed a contract with the 17th Regiment of the 6th Division of the National Guard of Ukraine, where he served in positions related to ensuring the technical condition of the units' combat equipment until 2000. After the division was disbanded, he continued to serve in similar positions as part of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. During the same period, he took an active part in the ATO/JFO. He received the status of a participant in hostilities.

In 2021, he retired as a veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But after some time, he decided to continue his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in March 2021, he again signed a contract with the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He served as the commander of the 1st repair platoon of automotive equipment of the repair company of automotive equipment of the repair and restoration battalion of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. In the same position, he met the full-scale invasion of the enemy into the territory of the Motherland.

Daughter: Tetyana Alekseevna Basalkevych, born in 2010, lives in the city of Chuguiv.

Circumstances of death:
On September 11, 2022, he died during the participation of a brigade unit in a counteroffensive near the settlement of Hrushivka, Kupyansky district, Kharkiv region.
On September 13, 2022, he was buried in the city of Chuguev at the Klugino-Bashkiriv cemetery.
