
In order to ensure social and professional adaptation veterans, increasing their competitiveness in the labor market The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the MIA) has implemented a flagship project «"Driving school for people with disabilities"».
The goal of this project is to create a convenient service with learning to drive a car and getting a driver's license for people with disabilities due to musculoskeletal disorders.
Advantages flagship project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are as follows:
- teaching and taking exams in inclusive spaces;
- accessible infrastructure and maximum barrier-free space;
- learning in mixed inclusive groups or individually on a convenient schedule;
- possibility of theoretical training remotely.
General duration of training – 11 weeks, of which 64 hours are theoretical course, 40 hours are practical course. Approximate tuition fee – 6 thousand hryvnias.
List of requirements to future drivers:
- desire to learn to drive a manual car;
- absence of medical contraindications that prevent a person from driving a category «B» vehicle;
- availability of the necessary package of documents.
The exam is taken at a Ministry of Internal Affairs service center in a manually operated vehicle. The driver's license is issued at the same Ministry of Internal Affairs service center where the exam is taken.
Currently, such driving schools operate in 6 regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Odessa, and Khmelnytskyi.
