Before the war, in the Chuguiv community, on the eve of City Day, new cultural, social, or educational facilities were always opened to the delight of residents. However, two and a half years have passed since the enemy deprived us of this wonderful annual tradition. The budget now has money only for the most necessary things, and no one has yet lifted security restrictions. However, even in such a, frankly, not very cheerful situation, the city hall is trying to organize a holiday for the townspeople.
On August 9, on the eve of City Day, a «Space of Unity and Support» was opened in the Druzhba neighborhood at the local branch of the city library.
Its appearance was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Chuhuyiv community with the Polish-Ukrainian Foundation PAUCI and the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation. The branch library of the Druzhba microdistrict won the project «Space of Unity and Support», the purpose of which is to strengthen cooperation between community residents, especially young people, and local government bodies.
According to the head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Halyna Minaeva, this project is important for the city authorities precisely because it will allow to unite different age and social groups of residents of a remote microdistrict of the city, to create a center of public life on "Druzhba". The work of the "Unity and Support" space will be aimed, among other things, at patriotic education, propaganda of the historical and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people, support of the creative, intellectual potential of both youth, children, and people of respectable age.
During today's opening ceremony of the "Space of Unity and Support", Halyna Minaeva expressed special gratitude for its appearance to the managers of Chuguyiv Fuel Equipment Plant LLC and librarians Olga Beregovska and Yulia Kolomiets, who became the soul of this project.
Let's hope that the "Space of Unity and Support" will contribute to increasing the civic activity of city residents, developing creative abilities, cultural traditions, creativity, and unconventional thinking of our fellow countrymen.
