
Born on 02.07.1996 in the city of Chuguyiv, Kharkiv region, into a military family. Later, he moved with his family to the city of Izyum. There, in 2013, he graduated from Izyum secondary school No. 6. During 2013-2017, he studied at the Izyum Optical and Mechanical College of the National Kyiv University named after Shevchenko. After graduating, he moved to Kharkiv. There he received his higher education. In 2017, Andriy was enrolled in the 3rd year of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, which he graduated in 2023, while being a military man. In civilian life, he worked in the automotive business - as a senior manager at the Avtopark company. He was interested in cars.


During the invasion of the Russian occupiers, Andriy already in March 2022, as a volunteer through the Slobidsky RTCC and the SP of the city of Kharkiv, joined the ranks of local defenders and went to defend his native lands from enemies. He fought as part of the 127th separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the deputy commander of a combat vehicle in the 229th separate TRO battalion.
His wife, Alexandra, served alongside him, and even after the death of her beloved
continues to defend the Motherland.



Andriy took an active part in the liberation of Slobozhanshchyna (Kharkiv direction), in the Donetsk direction (in battles for the retention of the cities of Bakhmut, Soledar, Krasnohirka), from May to September 2023 as part of the Defense Forces of Ukraine - in the Sumy direction. In September 2023, the unit began to perform combat missions in the Zaporizhia direction.



«Andriy was well-mannered and polite. His family always came first, he loved his son very much, and he had big plans for the future. When the war began, he and I helped families with small children together and also went together to defend the Motherland. When he went to the assault, he said, «Kitsya, I’m here for 2-3 days, a short adventure,»” his wife Oleksandra said.


Circumstances of death: In September 2023, the unit in which Andriy served continued to perform combat missions to protect our Ukraine in the Zaporizhia region. During the next assault operations on September 29, 2023, he, covering his comrade from shelling, fell near the village of Novodarivka, Malinivka rural community, Polohiv district, Zaporizhia region.

On October 7, 2023, the soldier was buried in the city of Kharkiv on the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18. The brigade flag with his call sign "SHERIFF" flies above his grave.

Andriy is survived by his parents and wife, who continues to serve and defend the Motherland.
During his service, Andriy was repeatedly awarded with diplomas, decorations, medals. He has the medal "For the Defense of Kharkiv". By the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 455/2024 dated 05.07.2024, Andriy Fedorovych Tikva was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (posthumously).
