Traditionally, on the eve of the anniversary of the birth of Ilya Efimovich Repin, a world-famous artist born in Chuguiv, the winners of the annual open 7th International two-round competition-exhibition of children's and youth art "Repin unites the world" were determined.
The director of the Chuguiv Children's Art School named after I.Yu. Repin, Volodymyr Nepomnyashchy, reported that this year 230 creative works, executed in many techniques of painting, graphics and decorative and applied arts, were sent to the competition. The participants of the competition were talented authors aged 9 to 22 from Ukraine, namely the city of Chuguiv, the Hero cities of Kharkiv and Odessa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Odessa regions, as well as from Germany, Norway, Latvia, Poland and Cyprus.
This year's award ceremony is being held online, because, unfortunately, the constant danger does not allow us to gather the competition participants in Ilya Repin's small homeland, to award, congratulate, and view the final exhibition together, which has currently adorned the assembly hall of the city council.
The organizers are grateful to all participants and their teachers. All winners will receive awards during August - September.
The competition once again demonstrated that Repin truly unites the world.
