Earlier Law set a deadline of January 1, 2025. However, due to martial law, the occupation of the state's territories, and the departure of part of the Ukrainian population abroad, it is impossible to issue shares now, so the deadline was extended to January 1, 2028.
What is unclaimed land?
This is a land share (share) for which there is no document certifying the right to it, or a land share (share) for which the right is certified in accordance with the law, but which was not allocated in kind (on the ground).
How not to lose your unclaimed land share (share)
- Develop and approve technical documentation on land management.
- Register the land plot in the State Land Cadastre.
- Register your ownership of it in the State Register of Real Property Rights.
What happens if the owner doesn't have time to do this?
If, by January 1, 2028, the owner of an unclaimed land share (share) or his heir does not register ownership of the land plot, it will be considered that he has refused to receive the plot.
