насильство

On November 25, the All-Ukrainian campaign "16 Days Against Violence" started, which will last until December 10.

The goal of the campaign is to increase citizens' awareness of the types and manifestations of violence, to draw public attention to the problems of overcoming domestic violence and/or gender-based violence, child abuse, combating human trafficking, and protecting the rights of victims.

Violence is not just about inflicting blows. It includes dozens of forms of violent behavior. All types of violence have common characteristics: a lack of respect for the other person, a desire for power and control over him or her, and the manipulation of his or her decisions and actions.

According to the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention and Combating Domestic Violence", there are four types of violence: physical, psychological, economic, and sexual.

People who have experienced violence against themselves often find it difficult to reach out for help due to fear of being judged. However, getting help in a timely manner is extremely important!

If you have been a victim of domestic violence and/or gender-based violence, or know someone who has been in such a situation or is at potential risk, we recommend that you contact the authorized authorities.
