
The government continues to implement existing programs to support Ukrainian families during the winter period, and also implements new initiatives of the President of Ukraine:
1. Winter eSupport
A one-time state aid of UAH 1,000 will be provided to all Ukrainians residing in Ukraine, including children. You can receive the payment through the Diya application on the National Cashback card, through Ukrposhta, or one of the program's partner banks.
2. Subsidies available
Subsidies can be received by anyone who needs help paying utility bills. For those who received subsidies in previous periods, the recalculation took place automatically.
3. Fixed price tariffs
Naftogaz of Ukraine, which supplies gas to the majority of the population of Ukraine, namely 98% household consumers, has set a tariff for natural gas at 7.96 hryvnias per 1 cubic meter. This price remains unchanged until April 30, 2025 inclusive. The price of electricity for household consumers, according to Resolution No. 632, is approved until April 30, 2025. That is, no increases for gas, heat, and electricity are planned until the end of the heating season.
4. Teacher's supplement
Starting in January, each teacher will receive an additional cash payment of at least 1,000 hryvnias. Starting in September, this amount will increase to 2,000 hryvnias.
5. Free meals in schools
Next year, free hot meals, which are currently provided to grades 1-4, are planned to be provided to all schoolchildren.
6. Available medications
The program provides for the expansion of the "Affordable Medicines" program, under which Ukrainians can already receive more than 500 different drugs for free or with a small surcharge. By the way, a "Mobile Pharmacy" and free delivery of medicines via "Ukrposhta" are operating for remote villages and frontline communities.
7. Support for IDPs
It includes monthly payments, compensation for accommodation and employment, preferential housing loans, temporary housing, adaptation services, etc. And starting next year, displaced families will also be able to apply for a housing rental subsidy.
8. "Warm Winter"«
The eighth Winter Support program is called "Warm Winter." During December 2024, low-income families, as well as IDP families with children or adults with group I disabilities, will receive UAH 6,500 for each child (person with group 1 disability).
