In the context of the start of negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the European Union, there is a growing need for a deep and professional understanding of the logic of European integration — not only at the level of political declarations, but also through the prism of institutional mechanisms, decision-making processes, and practical experience of the EU.
Ukrainian Catholic University announces the start of registration for the online certificate program "European Integration". The program is aimed at representatives of state and local governments, think tanks, public organizations, media, and the educational environment who work with European issues or are involved in the processes of reform and European integration.
The program provides a systemic understanding of:
- the history, values and legal basis of the European Union;
- EU institutions and decision-making mechanisms;
- key EU policies and their impact on Member States and candidate countries;
- Ukrainian context of European integration: reforms, negotiation process, opportunities and limitations.
The training combines expertise "from within the EU" presented by the main lecturer of the course - Jochen M. Richter, a former employee of the European Union institutions with over 30 years of work experience - and an analytical view of Ukrainian realities from the program director Petro Baykovsky, a political scientist and associate professor at UCU, as well as invited experts.
The format includes:
- short video lectures;
- webinars with lecturers and experts;
- final assessment;
- obtaining a certificate.
A study visit to Brussels and Berlin is planned for the best graduates in September 2026.
Recruitment to the program is carried out based on the results of a competitive selection process, which lasts until March 2. The results will be communicated by email by March 9.
