The story that started in October 2024 has successfully finished today! It was then that Roman Zhalkovsky, an 11th grade student at the Chuguyiv Lyceum No. 2, proposed the idea of developing a "Smart Street Lighting Control System" that would meet the requirements for the system's operation in the territory of a frontline community.
The process of implementing the plan was started on the basis of the youth space with the ESTEAM direction Ko_Laba of the Chuguivsky BDYUT. The team of teenagers "4REAL", led by Roman, created a model imitating the principles of the system, which has successfully passed repeated testing.
But Roman did not stop there! He wrote a research paper on this topic, supervised by the director of the Chuguiv State Technical University of Ukraine, Viktoria Miroshnikova. In the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of research papers of students-members of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Roman took 1st place and became the absolute winner in the section "Automation and Robotics".
On May 7-8, the 3rd stage of the All-Ukrainian defense competition took place, where Roman successfully defended his research and took 3rd place.
It was a difficult path, the success of which was facilitated by representatives of the Chuguev City Council, the Department of Education, Kharkiv NTU "KhPI", and the KNADU. Painstaking work was carried out! And it was the boy's perseverance that proved that with a great desire, anything is possible!
By the way, students from the Chuhuyiv community participated for the first time in the technical direction of the scientific research competition-defense. We hope that the youth space “Ko_Laba” will become a platform for the development of the technical direction of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
