A traffic accident occurred today on the Chuguyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanskyi highway. The driver and passenger sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. Their car crashed into a concrete structure.
Law enforcement officers previously determined that the driver of the Nissan lost control and crashed into a concrete structure. The accident killed the 38-year-old driver of the car and his 35-year-old passenger.
Police officers, medics, and rescuers from the State Emergency Service worked at the scene, removing the bodies of the deceased from the mangled car.
Investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Investigative Department opened criminal proceedings under Article 286 (violation of road safety rules that caused the death of several people) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
