In today's conditions, the Ukrainian language is not only a means of communication, but also an important element of statehood, national identity, and mutual respect in society. That is why the issue of using the state language in the service sector is of fundamental importance for both consumers and business entities.
According to the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language", the entire sphere of consumer services is obliged to use Ukrainian as the main language of communication. This applies to all business entities without exception - grocery and non-food stores and supermarkets, online stores and corporate websites, restaurants, cafes and other catering establishments, pharmacies, bank branches, gas stations, etc.
Serving customers in Ukrainian is not a formality or a restriction, but a manifestation of respect for the state, the community, and each visitor. It is with the language that trust between business and consumer begins, a positive image of the enterprise and a comfortable environment for providing services are formed.
It should be understood that the law does not create an obstacle for consumers who want to receive services in another language. At the client's request, the employee can switch to a language that is acceptable to both parties to the dialogue.
In addition to oral communication, the state language must be used in information materials about services and goods. The name and all accompanying information about the product, advertisements, all outdoor advertising (text, visual, audio), labeling and instructions for medicines, etc. must be written in Ukrainian.
It is necessary to understand that the law covers practically all spheres of public life and business, social and domestic relations. Therefore, in order not to violate its norms, it is better to completely translate your business into Ukrainian by default and conduct activities exclusively in the state language.
We appeal to the business entities of the Chuhuiv community to comply with the requirements of language legislation, which is a sign of a socially responsible business that operates within the legal framework, supports national values, and contributes to strengthening the unity of Ukrainian society.
The Ukrainian language in the service sector is the standard of a modern business that respects its client, its community, and its state.
