Specialists from the international independent humanitarian organization INTERSOS will hold a reception for the population in the village of Velyka Babka on February 18.

A mobile team consisting of a doctor, a nurse, and a psychologist will visit the village of Velyka Babka on February 18, 2025 and provide free services and free medicines to the population. The reception will take place from 11:15 to 16:00 at the local FAP.

List of services:

The therapist will provide a wide range of medical services:

  • Consultations: assessment of general health, discussion of symptoms, analysis of medical indicators and provision of recommendations for further actions;
  • Diagnosis: The doctor performs a physical examination, takes a medical history, and asks the patient about symptoms, their duration, intensity, and other characteristics;
  • Treatment of diseases: prescribing medications, developing a treatment plan for acute and chronic diseases, and providing medications;
  • Prevention: providing recommendations on disease prevention, vaccination, healthy lifestyle;
  • Monitoring: regular tracking of the health status of patients with chronic diseases to adjust treatment;
  • Referral to specialists: if necessary, the therapist may refer the patient to narrow-profile specialists, such as a cardiologist, gastroenterologist, neurologist, etc.;
  • Providing free medicines.

The public health worker will provide consultations on chronic non-communicable diseases, cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases (arterial hypertension, ischemic stroke), current infectious diseases in the region (hepatitis A and C); consultations on issues such as: reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, medical guarantee program, affordable medicines, palliative care.

A psychologist will provide individual consultations for adults and children.
