Caution: thin ice!

Тонка крига

Winter walks in icy waters can be dangerous if you don't follow the rules.

Rescuers of the State Emergency Service remind of the tips that are worth remembering:

  • Check the thickness of the ice.
  • Do not go out on the ice if you do not know where the holes, cracks or other dangerous places are.
  • Do not let children play on the ice alone!
  • Tell your loved ones where you are going and when you plan to return.

What to do if you fall through the ice:

  • Don't panic, stay calm and assess the situation soberly.
  • Call loudly for help so you can be heard.
  • Carefully try to get out onto the ice without making sudden movements.
  • If possible, use branches, boards, or other objects to increase the support area. .

Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
