Winter walks in icy waters can be dangerous if you don't follow the rules.
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service remind of the tips that are worth remembering:
- Check the thickness of the ice.
- Do not go out on the ice if you do not know where the holes, cracks or other dangerous places are.
- Do not let children play on the ice alone!
- Tell your loved ones where you are going and when you plan to return.
What to do if you fall through the ice:
- Don't panic, stay calm and assess the situation soberly.
- Call loudly for help so you can be heard.
- Carefully try to get out onto the ice without making sudden movements.
- If possible, use branches, boards, or other objects to increase the support area. .
Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
