In 2025, the UK Government, together with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, UNICEF Ukraine, the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities and ISAR Unity, launched the SPIRIT (Social Protection for Inclusion, Resilience, Innovation and Transformation) programme, which will help create a strong social support system that will respond to today's challenges.
Its main goal is to support communities that help families with children, people with disabilities, and those experiencing difficult life situations.
One of the areas of the SPIRIT program was the Small Grants Program for providers of social services to families with children and children and/or early intervention services.
The Small Grants Program was approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 17, 2025 No. 40 "On the implementation of a joint project with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to provide financial assistance in the form of small grants for social services to families with children and children and/or early intervention services.".
The project of providing financial assistance to communities in the form of small grants for social services to families with children in Ukraine is aimed at expanding the market for providing social services and strengthening the capacity of social service providers. As part of the project, more than 100 social service providers in 10 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv received grants to provide services and strengthen their capacity as social service providers.
The Center for Social Services of the Chuguiv City Council joined the project and became one of the winners of the competitive selection and began implementing the project in September 2025.
What services will the Center provide within the project:
- social support for families with children who are in difficult life circumstances;
- social support for families raising orphans and children deprived of parental care;
- resilience building service.
Why is this important?
Every child deserves love, care, and confidence in their future. With the support of partners and new opportunities, our professionals will be able to more effectively help families overcome difficulties, develop resilience skills, strengthen psychological health, and strengthen their faith in their own strength.
