On August 29, on the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, a very important and solemn, albeit sad, event took place in the Chuhuiv community - the presentation of the "Book of Memory of the Defenders from among the residents of the Chuhuiv urban territorial community who died in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.".

This book is dedicated to our Heroes and Heroines who made the most important choice in life: they stood up for their children, their homes, their country. They paid the highest price for peace and freedom, giving their lives and leaving behind an indelible trace of courage, bravery, and self-sacrifice. Each of the Heroes and Heroines mentioned in the Book of Remembrance had their own lives, their own plans for the future, which were cut short in one moment. They left behind families, friends, and loved ones, for whom the loss was an indescribable grief. However, their death was not in vain. They gave their lives so that we could live in peace and security. Their names should be forever inscribed in history, and their feat should inspire us with devotion and love for our Motherland.

The first copies of the newly printed Book were received by the relatives of the fallen Heroes. Addressing them, the head of the Chuguiv MVA Galina Minaeva noted that the Chuguiv community honors the memory of each of its fallen defenders, preserving their faces and stories in its memory and the hearts of its residents. The feat of our heavenly warriors is invaluable, and their sacrifice is the greatest gift they could have made for us. We will always remember our Heroes and Heroines, we will honor their memory for the sake of our future, - noted the head of the community.

During the presentation of the Book of Remembrance, Ivan Ohienko, whose two sons are currently defending the Motherland at the front, was awarded the Chuguiv Mayor's Gratitude for the painstaking work and soul invested in its preparation.
