In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 310/2025, for personal courage shown in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty, the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (posthumously) was awarded to Mykhailo Slobodyan, a defender who died while performing his military duty.
The state award was presented to the family of the fallen soldier – his wife Natalia and children Nadiya and Maksym – by Deputy Mayor and Head of the Executive Committee Lyudmila Makarenko and Deputy Head of the Chuguiv RTCC and SP Volodymyr Fedotov.
Mykhailo Slobodyan served as a grenade launcher in the 95th separate airborne assault brigade. He died on 03/20/2025 in Kurshchyna. He is buried in Chuhuiv on the Alley of Memory.
The name of Mykhailo Slobodyan will forever remain in the memory of the community's residents and in the hearts of those who knew him personally.
