On March 20, 2026, on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, an outreach communication and educational event was held in the Chuhuiv community. It was organized by specialists from the State Institution «Kharkiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», the KNP «Regional Phthisiopulmonological Center» of the Kharkiv Regional Council, together with representatives of the Chuhuiv branch of the State Institution “KHOTSKPH of the Ministry of Health” and the Chuhuiv city center of primary medical and sanitary care.
The event was held for internally displaced persons and staff of the Chuguievo-Babchansky Forestry Vocational College. Its goal was to raise awareness about tuberculosis prevention, early detection of the disease, and popularize the national program "Health Screening 40+".
Participants had the opportunity to complete a screening questionnaire on risk factors and symptoms of tuberculosis, as well as receive professional advice from doctors.
During the event:
13 people were consulted by a general practitioner;
43 people underwent fluorography examination;
electrocardiographic examinations were performed on 14 people;
22 short-term interventions were performed (including blood tests for sugar, testing for HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis);
15 people tested for COVID-19 and influenza;
12 people were vaccinated against diphtheria and tetanus.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, the specialists of the Chuguiv City Central Primary Health Center, and the administration of the Chuguiv-Babchansk Forestry Vocational College for their assistance in organizing and holding the event.
Such initiatives contribute to preserving the health of the population and increasing the level of prevention of socially dangerous diseases even in wartime conditions.
