STATISTICS THAT MAKES YOU ALARM: 22 CHILDREN DROWNED IN UKRAINE IN 5 DAYS!

Water does not forgive mistakes! The Children's Service of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration appeals to every parent!

According to the latest data from the juvenile police, over the past 5 days alone, a sharp increase in emergency incidents involving children has been recorded on Ukrainian water bodies. 22 children have died as a result of accidents.

Thanks to the timely response, the lives of 3 more children were saved - they are currently out of danger.

An analysis of these terrible tragedies shows the same thing: swimming in unequipped places, disregard for safety rules, and insufficient supervision by adults.

It is too late to look for the guilty when the tragedy has occurred. We once again urge you to be as vigilant as possible!

PARENTS, REMEMBER THESE LIFE-SAVING RULES:

1️. A child in the water - your gaze is ONLY on her!

Forget about scrolling through your phone, talking to friends, or resting with your back to the water. A small child drowns quietly and in just 2-3 minutes. They won't scream "Save!" like in the movies. They'll just quietly go under the water.

2️. The arm's length rule.

If your child is not yet confident in swimming, you should stay in the water next to them - at a distance where you can instantly grab them with your hand. Remember: inflatable rings and mattresses are just toys, they are not lifesaving, and can easily tip over or burst.

3️. A categorical "NO" to wild beaches!

No swimming in quarries, ponds, fast rivers or places where there are no lifeguard posts and the bottom has not been checked. The "No Swimming" sign is not a formality, it is a warning of mortal danger!

Dear parents! No warnings from the services will work if you personally do not take control of your children's recreation. Talk to them today. Do not let teenagers go to water bodies alone. Be nearby.

The price of your inattention is the most expensive thing in the world. Take care of your children!
