
Born on 05/28/1998 in the urban-type settlement of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. In 2013, he graduated from the ninth grade of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka secondary school No. 1, studied at the Druzhkivka vocational lyceum and received a specialty of a car repair mechanic. After graduating, he worked in his specialty.
In April 2018, the Druzhkivskyi Regional Military District of Donetsk Oblast was called up for military service and sent to the 179th Joint Training Center of Signal Troops with a deployment location in the city of Poltava.
After completing his training, he signed a military contract with the command of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade and has lived in the city of Chuguiv since August 2018.
He served as a driver-mechanic, driver and rigger. Participant of the ATO/JFO. Together with his comrades from the brigade, he took an active part in the Joint Forces Operation on the most important sections of the front in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the Avdiivka direction, near Popasna, Tryokhizbenka, Lysychansk, and Novoselivka.




The beginning of the full-scale war was met by Dmitry Tsapko, together with his comrades, at the permanent deployment point of the 92nd Motorized Rifle Brigade in the city of Chuguiev and from the first minutes of the aggression he stood up for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, took a direct part in the measures necessary to ensure the defense of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. For more than four years of the full-scale war, he conscientiously performed the duties of a rigger of the 3rd evacuation detachment of the evacuation platoon of the repair and restoration battalion of the 92nd separate assault brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko.
Circumstances of death:
On May 24, 2026, the repair and restoration battalion of the 92nd separate assault brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko, located near the settlement of Novooleksandrivka, Synelnyk district, Dnipropetrovsk region, was engaged in the restoration and repair of damaged weapons and equipment. While part of the unit, Dmytro Tsapko died that day while performing a combat mission.

The defender is survived by his mother, stepfather, and faithful siblings.
Dmytro Tsapko was buried with full military honors in the city of Chuguiv on the Alley of Memory on June 11, 2026.
