Chief Engineer of the Chuhuyiv District of the Kharkiv Branch of LLC "Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine" Vitaliy Borodayenko answers questions from residents of the Chuhuyiv community regarding the replacement and verification of gas meters.
Currently, in the Chuguiv community, including in private households, the process of replacing or verifying gas meters is ongoing. The verification period for old-style meters is 5 years, for new ones – 8 years. Gas companies receive data on the expiration date of meters from their own registers. If your meter is a new model and its verification period has come, gas industry specialists will dismantle it free of charge and temporarily install another one from their exchange fund. After verification, your meter will be returned to its place, also free of charge.
If the consumer's meter is outdated, it will be replaced with a new one. Also free of charge and including welding work. This service is included in the tariff.
The priority of the work is determined by the number of meters that need to be verified or replaced in a particular neighborhood or street. The specialists who carry out the work have the appropriate certificates, but if residents have doubts about the affiliation of the workers to the gas utility, it is enough to call 104.
