The head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Galina Minaeva, wrote on her Telegram channel on October 12:
Dear fellow countrymen. It is difficult to describe the pain, despair and sadness that is now in the soul of every, I am sure, Chugu resident. For the second day in a row, the enemy is attacking us, causing damage to civilian enterprises and institutions, the homes of peaceful residents, and their health.
Tonight, 2 high-rise buildings, 10 private houses, 2 educational institutions, 1 administrative building were damaged by the strikes in the city center. There are 5 victims, including a 12-year-old girl, all of whom have acute stress reactions. Fortunately, there are no victims - that's the main thing.
Lyceum No. 2, which the state built for us and was supposed to be ready by the end of the year, was damaged the most.
I would like to note the work of our municipal enterprises KZHREP, ChKK, Chuguivvoda, Chuguivteplo, who immediately got down to work: cleaning, closing broken windows, removing broken construction waste, and issuing OSB sheets. My sincere gratitude to you, friends.
The city's damaged property commission is also working on site, recording damage and providing advice on E-recovery.
Our loyal partners, the charitable organizations “Proliska”, “UNHCR”, “Peaceful Sky”, “Coordination Humanitarian Center”, “Red Cross” have arrived to help the residents: they are closing the windows, giving out OSB sheets, tarpaulin, blankets. Thank you for your help!
Our main value is people, their lives and health, we will restore everything else. Take care of yourself, dear fellow countrymen, and always respond to air emergency signals.
