On April 15, at around 10:30 a.m., an accident occurred at one of the intersections in the city of Chuguiv involving a Dacia Logan car driven by a 43-year-old driver and a Delta moped driven by a 16-year-old boy.
As a result of the collision, the underage moped driver was injured and taken to a medical facility. The driver of the passenger car was not injured.
Information about the event is registered in the Unified Register of Chuguiv RUP. The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 286 (violation of road traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being resolved.
Police are establishing all the circumstances and causes of the traffic accident.
Law enforcement officers emphasize once again: driving a motorcycle is allowed from the age of 16 and with the appropriate driver's license. If the driver has not reached the age specified by law, parents or legal representatives are responsible for illegal driving of a two-wheeled vehicle.
Dear parents, do not allow your children to drive motorcycles, scooters or mopeds prematurely. Do not expose them to danger and take care of the safety of all road users.
