In the Chuguiv community, the activities of so-called "ovenmen" who work without the necessary permits have been recorded. What should an ordinary consumer do when they come to inspect smoke and ventilation ducts? How can you find out if these are real ovenmen, certified specialists, or impostors, or if scammers have visited your home?
In accordance with current changes in legislation, business entities (individual entrepreneurs, enterprises, so-called "oven makers") to carry out inspections and maintenance work on smoke and ventilation ducts MUST HAVE A CONCLUSION FROM THE STATE ENERGY SUPERVISION regarding the compliance of the business entity with the requirements for ensuring the proper performance of maintenance work on smoke and ventilation ducts of municipal facilities, residential and public buildings.
When someone came to you with a proposal to check your chimneys and ventilation ducts – DEMAND A CONCLUSION!!
Those who do not have it have no right to check anything, their act will be invalid!
The activity of such "oven makers" has been recorded in the community. The Chuguiv City Council has already contacted the police regarding their illegal activities.
Reference. On 02/20/2025, the new Rules for the Technical Operation of Gas Supply Systems, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Energy dated 10/21/2024 No. 402, entered into force. Sections 6 and 7 of this document establish requirements for the operation and performance of maintenance work on smoke and ventilation ducts and for the provision by the State Energy Supervision Agency of a certificate of conformity to business entities engaged in the maintenance of smoke and ventilation ducts.
According to the Rules, business entities that plan to issue certificates of initial, periodic inspection and cleaning of smoke and ventilation ducts of communal facilities, residential and public buildings from 02/20/2025, must obtain permission from the State Energy Supervision Agency regarding the compliance of the business entity with the requirements for ensuring proper performance of work.
