We remember and wait: an event was held in Chuhuiv with the participation of families of missing defenders

On March 16, 2026, an event full of pain and hope took place in Chuguiv. At the initiative of the Civil-Military Cooperation Service of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko and the Chuguiv City Council, the families of our soldiers who are considered missing were invited to the meeting.

During the event, representatives of the 92nd Brigade presented the community with a black-and-white flag of hope - a symbol of unwavering faith that every defender will definitely return home. This flag is an unofficial symbol introduced in Ukraine. The black color symbolizes longing and uncertainty, and the white color symbolizes bright hope that does not fade in the hearts of loved ones.

The relatives of the missing defenders present at the event were addressed by Deputy Mayor - Head of the Executive Committee, Lyudmila Makarenko, who emphasized that supporting the families of defenders is a priority for the community.

A prayer for the return of the soldiers, whose fate remains unknown, and for strengthening the spirit of their families was read by a military chaplain.

At the end of the meeting, relatives of the missing, together with military personnel and representatives of the city council, tied symbolic black and white ribbons to the branches of the "Tree of Hope." The "Tree of Hope" was installed last year in the Central Square in the city of Chuguiv as a place of remembrance where everyone can remember and honor the soldiers who went missing while defending Ukraine.

This event became a reminder: we have no right to forget about those who went to the front and still haven't returned. The community remembers everyone and waits with their families.
