Up to $4,000 to start your own business: grant competition open

The Czech humanitarian organization "People in Need" has opened a micro-grant competition for people with limited economic opportunities who want to start their own business.

The competition is open to residents of communities in Kharkiv region, namely:

  • Kharkiv district – Kharkiv city and all communities that are part of the district.
  • Berestynskyi district – the city of Berestyn and all communities that are part of the district.
  • Lozovsky district – the town of Lozova and all communities that are part of the district.
  •  Bogodukhiv district – the town of Bogoduhiv and all communities that are part of the district.
  • Chuhuyiv district – the city of Chuguiv and all communities that are part of the district.

Applications can be submitted by adult local residents or internally displaced persons who have lost their jobs, businesses, or a significant portion of their income due to the war and plan to officially register their business activities.

Participants can receive up to $4,000 to launch their business. In addition to financial support, selected participants will receive training and mentoring support to develop their business.

The project is implemented by the Czech humanitarian organization "People in Need" with financial support from Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2026.
