Born on September 28, 1975 in the city of Chuguiv. Studied at Chuguiv comprehensive school No. 5. After graduating from 8 grades, from 1990 to 1993 he studied at Chuguiv vocational school No. 53. He received the specialty of tractor driver-meliorator.
During 1994-1996, he served his mandatory military service as a driver in the Mykolaiv region. After completing his military service, he worked as a driver in private companies, state authorities and local governments, and other state institutions.
Since October 2015, he was enrolled in military service under a contract through the Chuguyiv RTCC and SP. For 10 years, he served under a contract in the 92nd separate assault brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko as an electrician-mechanic. During 2016-2017, he took direct part in the ATO/JFO. He, together with his brothers, defended the independence of the Motherland during heavy fighting in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions in the area of the settlements of Krasnohorivka and Shchastia.
In October 2016, he received the status of a combat participant. In 2017, he received an international certificate in basic and advanced training in providing first aid in combat conditions. Oleksandr met the full-scale invasion in the city of Chuguiv. Throughout his military service, he was engaged in technical maintenance of military equipment and equipment, took an active part in a set of measures that were to ensure the operability of military equipment.
Circumstances of death:
War has a drastic effect on the health of soldiers, causing physical injuries and psychological disorders. Chronic fatigue and moral exhaustion due to constant danger seriously affected Alexander's health. In the early summer of 2025, he was forced to seek medical help. Doctors diagnosed oncology. From that time on, for six months, Alexander fought for his life in a hospital bed. He died on 02.12.2025 while receiving inpatient treatment at the Regional Oncology Center in the city of Kharkiv. Kuraksin Alexander Alexandrovich was buried on 02.12.2025 in the city of Chuguiv at cemetery No. 5.
The deceased soldier is survived by his wife and two children.
During his military service, Oleksandr was repeatedly encouraged. He had a state award, the medal "Defender of the Fatherland", the Honorary Breastplate of the Chief of the General Staff - "For Exemplary Service in Military Service" 3rd degree, the distinction of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - the breastplate "Participant in the ATO"; the medal "10 Years of Conscientious Service"; the Honorary Decoration of the 92nd Motorized Rifle Brigade "Ivan Sirko Medal".
