Born on January 23, 1973 in the village of Bakhtyn, Boriv district, Kharkiv region. In 1990, he graduated from Gorokhovat secondary school. Then he completed tractor driver courses and later entered the Kharkiv Veterinary Institute, but did not graduate, because in 1992, at his own request, he went to military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He served in a separate anti-aircraft missile regiment (military unit 67959) stationed in Volodymyr-Volynskyi as a senior operator. After being discharged to the reserve, he worked in the village of Gorokhovatka and the city of Kharkiv.
Since 2008, his fate has been connected with the city of Chuguiv: here he lived and worked at the Truboelement plant, and later at UTERM.
In 2021, he decided to link his fate with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and signed a contract with the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade through the Chuguiv Military Commissariat. Thus, he met the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine as part of the brigade and from its first days took an active part in the defense of the Motherland as an assistant grenade launcher shooter of the 3rd mechanized detachment of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 5th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion.

Mother: Kulyk Nadiya Stepanivna, lives outside the city of Chuguiv.
Sister: Starikova Tatyana Oleksandrivna, lives outside the city of Chuguiv.
Wife: Kulyk Lyudmila Mykolayivna, lives in the city of Chuguev.
Daughter: Karina, born in 1997, lives outside the city of Chuguiv.
Daughter: Anastasia, born in 2010, lives in Chuguiv.
Son: Ruslan, born in 1997, serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Circumstances of death:
While participating in measures to ensure the defense of Ukraine in 2023, he became seriously ill. According to the conclusion of the RVLK commission, his illness was related to the defense of the Motherland. Based on the conclusion of the commission, Volodymyr was discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but continued to fight his illness, supporting and admonishing his comrades from the brigade in every possible way. On 03/28/2024, his life was cut short. Based on an extract from the minutes No. 1252 of 04/12/2024 of the meeting of the regular military medical commission, the causes of his death are related to the defense of the Motherland.
Volodymyr was buried on March 29, 2024 in the city of Chuguev at cemetery No. 5.
By Order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine No. 152 dated March 18, 2022, he was awarded the incentive award of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine - the "Badge of Honor" breastplate.
