
Dmytro was born in the city of Chuguiv, Kharkiv region, on November 5, 2001, into a military family. He lived in Kharkiv, studied at Kharkiv Lyceum No. 85 of the Kharkiv City Council, took an active part in the social and cultural life of the lyceum, played football, and was interested in IT technologies.
In 2019, after graduating from school, he decided to continue the family dynasty of military pilots and consciously chose a military career. In 2019-2023, he studied at the flight faculty of the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University. Above all, he dreamed of flying…


Since August 2023, he served in the 11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade "Kherson" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of pilot-navigator of the Mi-8 (Mi-17) helicopter of the helicopter unit of the helicopter squadron.
During the full-scale invasion, the young officer bravely and courageously carried out combat missions of providing fire support to ground units while conducting combat operations on the front line. He believed in victory over the occupiers and did everything in his power so that we would never know the word "war" again.

Dmitry is survived by his parents: Oleg Volodymyrovych Kokorin and Elena Eduardovna Kokorina, his sister Daria Olegovna Kokorina and his wife Daria Sergeevna Kokorina (Prylutskaya), who live in the city of Kharkiv.

Circumstances of death:
Military pilot Dmytro Kokorin died on May 11, 2024 while performing a combat mission to provide fire support to ground units in the Zaporizhia direction. 22 remained a hero forever.

Dmytro Kokorin was posthumously awarded the rank of "senior lieutenant" and, by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 500 dated August 2, 2024, was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd degree.
Dmytro was buried on May 28, 2024, on the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in the city of Kharkiv.
