With the help of the "eReconstruction" program, Ukrainians can receive money to repair or purchase housing to replace the one destroyed by the war. However, some applicants are denied due to technical errors - from the wrong type of compensation to an incomplete package of documents. This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

Wrong type of compensation
Applicants sometimes confuse the type of compensation – «for damaged» or «for destroyed housing». If the house can be repaired, you should choose compensation for damage. If it is completely destroyed – for destruction. An error leads to an automatic refusal.
Lack of registration of ownership
It is impossible to submit an application without confirmed ownership in the State Register of Real Property Rights. Before submitting, it is worth checking the availability and relevance of the information in the register.
No consent of co-owners
Compensation is provided only with the consent of all co-owners of the housing. If there is no written consent from at least one, the application will not be considered. The exception is when the co-owner is a foreigner or a stateless person.
Incomplete or false information
The system automatically checks the submitted documents. If it detects discrepancies, the commission rejects. Before submitting an application, you should carefully check each document.
Damage not related to war
Payment is provided only for losses caused by Russian armed aggression. If the cause is an accident or a domestic fire, compensation is not paid.
Commission denial
The commission must physically inspect the object. If the applicant does not allow representatives or is absent, the consideration is terminated. The exception is remote inspection of housing in areas of hostilities.
Double benefit
Compensation is not provided again if a person has already received a full payment from other sources. In the case of partial assistance, an application for payment of the balance can be submitted within the framework of "eRecovery".
