The lives of many Kamyanoyaruzh residents are connected with football. And last Saturday, May 2, at the initiative of football veterans, the players gathered on the football field to play football, remember the pleasant events of football life, discuss the development of football in the village, and remember those football players from the village who, unfortunately, are no longer with us, but who left behind great memories and a significant legacy in the form of young talented players and football fans.
The village football team was founded back in 1976. The first team consisted of 20 young villagers who were passionately in love with this sport, namely: Achkasov Mykola, Achkasov Serhiy, Aulov Valeriy, Vasiliev Viktor, Vasiliev Oleksandr, Vorobyov Mykola, Vorobyov Oleksandr, Gorshkov Serhiy, Humenny Valentin, Guriev Serhiy, Duginov Mykhailo, Kichenko Ivan, Kulaksiz Fedir, Kuzmichev Oleksandr, Neelov Oleksandr, Pankratov Mykola, Petrishchev Serhiy, Rebrov Ivan, Stepanenko Yuriy, Khryapin Viktor.
Already in the first season, in 1976, fate smiled on the players, and the team received the "Season Closing" cup. Vorobiev Mykola Alekseevich and Achkasov Sergey Ivanovich distinguished themselves in the game, scoring 1 goal each.
Football was actively developing in the village until 2021. The team participated in various football competitions. During its history, the team of the village of Kamyana Yaruga was the champion of the Chuguivskyi district in football 5 times, the football players were the owners and finalists of the Chuguivskyi district cup 12 times, the team won the Chuguivskyi district super cup 5 times. And in 1989, the team became the owner of the Kharkiv region cup.
Over 50 years – a large number of games and, of course, a change in the composition of the team. The football team included both residents of the village of Kamyana Yaruga and players from other settlements. More than 100 football players linked their lives with the football team of the village of Kamyana Yaruga. And during the celebration of the team's anniversary, the people of Kamyana Yaruga proudly recalled the victories of that time and the captains of the football team who confidently led the athletes to these victories. These are Valentyn Humenny, Yuriy Stepanenko, Volodymyr Vorobyov, Serhiy Kuzmychov, Yuriy Chupykhin, Dmitry Yeletsky, and Dmitry Radin.
Unfortunately, due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, football in the village froze for a while, the football team disbanded, and does not participate in competitions. But the young generation of football players is growing up. Until March of this year, the future athletes were looked after by Vitaliy Kuzmychev, who trained the boys in his free time. Vitaliy is now serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and deserves respect and gratitude for his dedication to football and the defense of the country. And the boys continue to train independently on a wonderful mini football field, which was built in 2021 by private entrepreneurs and heads of agricultural enterprises. By the way, the festive event was held with the financial support of many residents of the village who are not indifferent to football and sports. We thank them.
Those present honored with a minute of silence 25 players who, for many years in a row, glorified the village of Kamyana Yaruga and the Chuguyiv district with their football game.
A football match was held between football veterans and future football players.
Also at the sporting event, football veterans from the village of Kamyana Yaruga, who dedicated their lives to the game of football, were honored with cash awards.
All those present received positive emotions from the sporting event and a charge of energy for several days, as well as wishes for good health, strength, energy, optimism, well-being in families, and the hope that football in the village will be recognized by the youth, who in the future will glorify the village of Kam'yana Yaruga and the Chuhuyiv community with their results.
