According to the results of monitoring studies conducted in June 2025 by the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine (Sever-Donetsk Basin Water Resources Management), the water of the Tetlega River exceeded the environmental quality standards for thiacloprid.
In this regard, we ask the heads of agricultural enterprises to take the necessary measures to reduce the negative impact on water resources, namely:
- Ensure strict compliance with pesticide use regulations, in particular thiacloprid, in accordance with current legislation and manufacturer's instructions.
- Adhere to established sanitary protection zones near water bodies when applying agrochemicals.
- Establish and maintain riparian buffer strips with vegetation to reduce the washout of chemicals into waterways.
- Consider using alternative, less toxic or biological plant protection products.
- Ensure proper storage and transportation conditions for pesticides to prevent their release into the environment.
We hope for your understanding of the importance of conserving water resources and a responsible attitude towards environmental protection requirements.
