Resilience centers are friendly, barrier-free spaces where every community resident can go and receive first aid, referrals to necessary services and organizations, and the opportunity to attend group classes on psychosocial support.
The centers are being created with the support of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program of First Lady Olena Zelenska.
At the Chuhuiv Resilience Center, the Minister of Social Policy spoke with both visitors and specialists, including a psychologist and a veteran's assistant. Having heard about the problems faced by veterans, primarily bureaucratic red tape, Oksana Zholnovych noted that a pilot project to digitize procedures that veterans have to deal with is currently being implemented in a number of regions, and therefore significant simplifications and improvements are expected in this direction.
The main conclusion from the minister's visit to the Chuguiv Resilience Center is that this social service is currently only being formed in the country, and its further development and improvement will largely depend on the results of the practical work of centers like ours.
