The Chuhuiv community said goodbye to Defender of Ukraine Serhiy Ozatsky

On July 10, 2026, the Chuguiv community paid its last respects to soldier Serhiy Mykolayovych Ozatsky (call sign Cossack), who gave his life defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. The defender was buried on the Alley of Memory in the city of Chuguiv.

Serhiy Ozatsky was born on April 26, 1987 in the village of Zarozhne, Chuhuyiv district, Kharkiv region.

In February 2025, he was called up for military service upon mobilization by the Shevchenkivskyi District CCC and the Joint Service of the city of Kharkiv. He served in the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after the Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko, where he performed combat missions as an assault infantryman.

On July 12, 2025, while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Lyptsy, Kharkiv region, Serhiy Ozatskyi was killed as a result of enemy artillery fire and a UAV attack.

Due to the loss of documents and the absence of close relatives, the identification process took almost a year. Only after it was completed was it possible to give the Defender a dignified last rites.
