According to a long-standing tradition, veterans gathered at the memorial to the Chernobyl heroes, who almost forty years ago, risking their health and lives, saved the world from nuclear contamination. They remembered those times and their comrades, many of whom, unfortunately, are no longer with us.
The leaders of the city council – its secretary Yevheniy Rezchenko and deputy mayor Kostyantyn Barmin – joined the Chernobyl survivors. Yevheniy Rezchenko, on behalf of the community residents, expressed respect and gratitude to the veterans for their feat, which we will all always remember.
Those present laid flowers at the memorial, after which those interested could ask questions about medical care and social protection to the relevant specialists of the city council present.
