We advise consumers to follow the rules for gradually turning on electrical appliances after the power has returned to your homes after a power outage. This is necessary to preserve household appliances and prevent emergency power outages.

Why can't you turn everything on at once?

The sudden simultaneous switching on of thousands of energy-intensive devices creates a significant voltage surge, which, unfortunately, can lead to another emergency shutdown and damage to sensitive electronics.

How to act correctly:
  • Unplug all powerful electrical appliances (heaters, boilers, electric stoves, ovens, etc.) in advance;
  • After the power supply is restored, wait 15-20 minutes until the voltage in the network stabilizes. First, you can turn on the lights and put gadgets on charge, and a little later turn on all other devices. If the light is flashing or the voltage is unstable, do not connect the equipment to the network.

To stay safe, you can install surge protectors or circuit breakers at home. These measures will help protect household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, and televisions.

Also, if you have a backup power source at home (batteries, inverters, etc.), don't forget to switch them from active to passive mode in a timely manner, unless automatic switching is set.

Follow electrical safety rules, protect your equipment and the stability of your power supply!
