Ceremonies dedicated to the 180th anniversary of our outstanding compatriot Ilya Repin are underway. Today, a ceremony to award the winners of the International Open Competition-Exhibition of Children's Art "Repin Unites the World" was held in a solemn atmosphere.
This year, the geography of the competition is very representative - from most regions of Ukraine to countries in Europe and North America. Its participants - students of art schools, art schools, art colleges and higher educational institutions of aesthetic orientation - presented 360 works to the international jury. By the way, the jury included well-known artists together with representatives of the Chuguiv City Council.
The award ceremony was a real celebration. The Deputy Mayor-Manager of the Executive Committee Lyudmila Makarenko and the Director of the Chuguiv Children's Art School named after I.Yu. Repin, Honorary Citizen of Chuguiv Volodymyr Nepomnyashchy addressed the young artists and their mentors with welcoming remarks. They noted that the level of works presented at the competition is increasing year by year, and presented medals and gifts to the winners and their mentors.
