Born on May 21, 1988 in Luhansk. Graduated from Luhansk comprehensive school No. 51. After graduating from school, he worked as a forester in Stanytsia Luhanska.
Before signing the contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he lived in the city of Severodonetsk. He was drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Belovodsky Regional Military District of the Luhansk region on May 3, 2019. He served as a detachment commander - vehicle commander of the 1st mechanized detachment of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 3rd mechanized company of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade and lived with his family in the city of Chuguiv.
He repeatedly demonstrated personal courage and heroism in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. By Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 447/2022 of June 26, 2022, «for personal courage and selfless actions shown in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath,» he was awarded the Order of Courage, III degree. This award was presented to Oleksiy by the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration to his wife in November 2023.

Mother: Myrshava Lyudmila Viktorivna.
His three brothers and sister live in Stanytsia Luhanska (in the temporarily occupied territory).
Wife: Bereznichenko Kateryna Oleksandrivna, during Alexey's service in the brigade, during 2022, she lived in the city of Chuguiv. After her husband's death, she left the city and lives in the city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.
Son: Yaroslav Myrshavy, born in 2018, lived with his parents in the city of Chuhuyiv, and then moved with his mother to the city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.
Circumstances of death:
He was the commander of a strike group. On 02.11.2022, his group participated in the assault on the settlement of Novoselivske, Svatyiv district, Luhansk region. During the fighting, he died, but his body remained in the territory controlled by the enemy. He was considered missing and only on 07.11.2022 did his comrades manage to get his body.
Buried on the Alley of Memory at Cemetery No. 5 in Chuguiv on 11/14/2022.
By Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 447/2022 of June 26, 2022, he was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree "for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath.".

For personal courage and heroism shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I decree:
To confer the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Gold Star to MYRSHAV Oleksiy Viktorovych – Junior Sergeant (posthumously).
