Deputy Head of the HOVA Vita Kowalska met with representatives of the World Health Organization.
During the meeting, she noted that Resilience Centers are currently being created in each community, where a psychologist will work. In addition, you can contact your family doctor directly for free psychological help.
«"Today, the issue of psychological assistance is being addressed by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. Separate projects have been created within the framework of the All-Ukrainian mental health program "How are you?". Yes, we have a regional psychological service and an educational and methodological center," said Vita Kovalska.
The event also discussed establishing effective coordination with community representatives where psychological projects are planned to be implemented.
«"This is my first time in Kharkiv, although I have visited Ukraine about 20 times. I wanted to personally learn about the needs of the residents of the Kharkiv region and conduct a situational analysis to share information with my colleagues. Since the region has a large number of internally displaced persons and is located close to the border, we will look for additional opportunities to develop mental health projects here," said Fami Hanna, a technical specialist at WHO headquarters.
