The brutal war took the life of another brave son of the Chuguiv community, who until his last breath defended his native land from the Russian occupiers.
On June 11, 2026, in the hospital, as a result of severe injuries received while performing a combat mission on one of the hottest front lines, the heart of our compatriot, senior sergeant of the 1st battalion of the combined rifle brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Viktorovich Pavlovsky, stopped beating. His heart stopped due to wounds inflicted by an insidious strike by an enemy FPV drone.
Yuriy Pavlovsky was a soldier by vocation. He lived in Chuguiev and connected his life with the defense of the Motherland back in 2006, starting his service in the local military unit. Over the years of service, he earned unquestionable authority among his comrades and the command, becoming an experienced commander and mentor for many soldiers.
Yuriy defended the country in the most difficult and dangerous areas of the front during the ATO/JFO and fought until the last for freedom for Ukraine during the full-scale invasion. His comrades knew him by the eloquent and proud call sign "Kharkiv" - as a man of iron will, a sincere patriot, a loyal friend and an extremely courageous warrior who never hid behind the backs of others.
Yuriy was buried in his native Chuhuiv on the Alley of Memory on June 14, 2026.
The Chuguiv city military administration and the entire community express their deep and sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, friends and comrades-in-arms of Yuri Viktorovych. No words can heal the wound of this loss and soothe the pain in the hearts of those who loved and respected him.
We bow our heads in deep sorrow before the feat of our Hero. His contribution to the future Victory and freedom of Ukraine is forever inscribed in the history of our land.
Bright and eternal memory to Yuri Pavlovsky...
