
Born on April 15, 1988 in Kharkiv. He studied for 8 years at the Municipal Institution "Kharkiv Lyceum No. 85 of the Kharkiv City Council". After graduating from school, he studied for three years at the State Educational Institution "Regional Center for Professional Education of Innovative Technologies of Construction and Industry" and received a specialty "wooden model maker". After graduating from school, he worked in civilian life at the Kharkiv Meat Processing Plant and at LLC "SHIELD - PROTECTED QUALITY".

He has lived in the city of Chuguiv since 2021. He was called up for military service upon mobilization on 09.11.2024 by the Chuguiv RTCC and SP. He underwent training at the base of the training unit of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Samar (formerly Novomoskovsk) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. After his graduation, in early January 2025, he was sent to the position of a rifleman - sniper of the mechanized detachment of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 4th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 17th separate heavy mechanized Kryvyi Rih brigade named after Konstantin Pestushko.
Since December 2024, the brigade has been participating in the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, namely near the village of Kremyane, Korenevsky district, and the settlement of Kruglenke, Sudzhansky district, holding the line north of the road to Sudzha.


Together with related units, the fighters of the 17th separate heavy mechanized Kryvyi Rih brigade conducted combat operations with North Korean infantrymen in the Kursk region. On January 18, 2025 alone, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks by the invaders in the Kursk region. According to updated information, the enemy carried out 12 air strikes per day, dropping 16 guided bombs, and carried out 416 artillery attacks, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.

Circumstances of death:
Roman Litvinov, based on the Order of the commander of military unit A 3283 No. 11, from January 11, 2025, was involved in the area of performing combat (special) tasks as part of the "Kursk" group of troops to ensure national security and defense, repel and deter armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Sumy region. On January 18, 2025, he was at the "Kosmos" combat position, in the settlement of Kruglenke, Sudzhansky district. At approximately 5:00 p.m. while moving to the "Opolon" position, Roman was injured incompatible with life (firearm explosion injury with damage to the head, body and limbs).
Due to the fact that the territory where the battle took place was under Russian occupation, the evacuation of the body was impossible. On January 27, 2025, the relatives received a Notification from the Chuguiv RTCC and SP No. 197 that Roman Litvinov was considered missing since January 18, 2025. All the time, relatives, loved ones and friends hoped for a miracle. But on May 23, 2026, the family received a notification No. 484, which reported that the results of genetic examination identified the body of Roman Nikolaevich LITVINOV, who died on January 18, 2025 while repelling an enemy assault near the settlement of Kruglenke. The body was transferred to our side during the exchange in 2025.
Soldier LITVINOV Roman Mykolayovych returned "on the shield" to the city of Chuguiv, where he was buried on May 30, 2026 on the Alley of Memory. The defender is survived by his father, mother, and older sister.
