In cooperation with the Kharkiv Regional Employment Service and the regional employment center, a job-seeker placement program is being actively implemented in the region. Since the beginning of the year, almost 1,900 referrals for socially useful work have been issued within the framework of the "Army of Restoration" project.
In total, almost UAH 12 million was financed to project participants in 2026. Kharkiv region consistently ranks first among the regions of Ukraine in this indicator.
«"Thanks to the systematic work of the Kharkiv OVA and the regional employment center, our region occupies a leading position in the implementation of the "Army of Restoration" program. It is important for us not only to support people who are temporarily unemployed, but also to comprehensively assist employers. Each new job is a contribution to the reconstruction of the Kharkiv region's economy and people's confidence in the future," said Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv OVA.
As part of the initiative, residents of the Kharkiv region are involved in the reconstruction of territories affected by hostilities, the procurement of firewood for the heating season, and the implementation of repair and restoration works, in particular at critical infrastructure facilities. Project participants also support the Armed Forces of Ukraine by weaving camouflage nets, making trench candles, sewing clothes, and preparing food for the military.
Registered unemployed, internally displaced persons, veterans, and pensioners under the age of 70 can participate in the program. For residents of frontline areas, the salary is 17,290 UAH per month.
«"The project has not only economic but also social significance. We give people who lost their jobs due to the war the opportunity to receive a stable income, maintain their insurance record, and use all state social guarantees. It is especially important that internally displaced persons, veterans, and older people can join the program. This is not just temporary employment - it is support for families and at the same time a real contribution of each participant to the restoration of communities in the Kharkiv region," emphasized Denys Oliynyk, director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center.
