What was 2025 like for the Chuhuiv community?

Another year in the history of the Chuguiv community is coming to an end, the fourth year of the great bloody war that our country is waging for its existence and for the future of its citizens. So let's remember its main events - pleasant, important and tragic, which, unfortunately, were also lacking.

All this year, as in the previous three, the Chuguiv community was under constant shelling from the aggressor. As always, the enemy chose purely civilian objects as its targets - a school, a kindergarten, industrial enterprises and, of course, residential buildings. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated work of the city authorities, municipal services and philanthropists, the consequences of the enemy "arrivals" were eliminated as much as possible, and the victims were provided with the necessary assistance - medical, psychological and material.

But there were, unfortunately, irreparable losses this year. As a result of enemy shelling, our compatriot, a nurse at the Central Hospital and just a young mother, Nadia Karbazina, died. Our Hero-defenders also returned on the shield. The Alley of Memory, established in their honor in the square of Defenders of the Fatherland, was significantly extended this year. And, unfortunately, it seems, not the last time…

However, remembering who it continues to live thanks to, the Chuguiv community developed, rebuilt, and strengthened.

The city authorities have paid great attention to creating safe environments: many of them have already become centers of public and cultural life in the community, and some are still under development.

Our community has been provided with enormous assistance throughout the full-scale invasion by foreign and domestic partners. Therefore, the city authorities paid top priority to establishing sister cities with them. And not without results. During the year, the Chuguiv community became sister cities of the Swedish Danderyd, the German Nordhorn, and the Dutch Coowarden. And within the framework of the all-Ukrainian program "Side by Side: United Communities", we received reliable friends from six Ukrainian communities that are further from the front line than we are, but help us in every way.

As always, great attention in the community was paid to strengthening the material and technical base of municipal enterprises, the load on which increased many times during the war. Special emphasis was placed on maintaining a stable energy supply: municipal enterprises were significantly reinforced with generators of various capacities, cogeneration plants, etc. Almost all enterprises received specialized transport - tractors, emergency vehicles, excavators and even a crane. Chuguiv education was not left without gifts, as it received two school buses from the regional military administration.

Throughout the year, the city authorities paid close attention to the development of healthcare facilities. Despite another shelling, which damaged the Central Hospital, the institution continued to function stably. Moreover, modern repairs were carried out in the departments, and they themselves were replenished with expensive equipment. Primary medicine was also developing in the community, for which all the necessary conditions were also created.

In a word, the Chuguiv community, despite all the losses and hardships caused by the war, continued to live a full life. Our children were able to communicate and develop in safe spaces, young people declared themselves at the regional and all-Ukrainian levels, teachers confirmed the high level of Chuguiv education, utility workers heroically provided comfort in the homes of fellow countrymen, and doctors saved lives.

This year we all lived with dignity: we helped our defenders, supported each other, and believed that the war would end and we would rebuild our wonderful little homeland better than it was.

May this common dream of ours finally come true next year!
