The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the Procedure according to which the state will pay for health and recreation services for children who need special social attention and support. The mechanism will operate on the principle of "money follows the child.".
The services will be financed by the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities (FSZOI) through direct payments to health facilities that are included in the State Register of Property Facilities for Children's Health and Recreation, have concluded relevant agreements with the FSZOI, and meet the program's criteria.
Who can benefit?
Categories of children who can receive services:
- orphans, children deprived of parental care;
- children of persons recognized as participants in hostilities and fallen defenders;
- children registered as IDPs;
- children living in settlements located on the contact line;
- native children of foster parents or adoptive parents who live in the same family-type orphanage or in the same foster family;
- children with disabilities who are capable of self-care and have no medical contraindications.
How to get the service
One of the child's parents or another legal representative must choose a health and recreation facility for official website FSZOI.
After choosing an institution, you need to contact its manager via email or telephone to obtain prior consent and confirm the possibility of providing the service, indicating the duration of stay. You should also send copies of documents confirming the child's right to receive payment for the cost of the health and recreation service in advance. The last step is to conclude a health and recreation agreement between the institution and the parents. The document is signed after the child arrives and the originals of all documents are presented.
The duration of recovery is 21 days, rest is 14 days.
