Deputy Mayor - Head of the Executive Committee Lyudmila Makarenko is participating in the 3rd Congress of Cooperation with Ukraine COMMON FUTURE 2025, which is a key forum for the development of Polish-Ukrainian partnership. The event brought together representatives of government bodies, local governments, businesses and public organizations to discuss joint initiatives and opportunities for interaction.
Congress participants have the opportunity to meet directly with representatives of Ukrainian and Polish public and private structures, identify current needs, and outline areas of future cooperation.
During the discussions, significant attention was paid to:
• the issue of decentralization in Ukraine and the role of international partners in this process;
• investment prospects at the local level, in particular in the areas of water supply, energy, waste management and urban transport;
• opportunities to attract Polish experience and partnership in the implementation of public investment projects.
Special emphasis is placed on the fact that local governments become not only political, but also key economic and social partners in the reconstruction process.
The participation of the Chuguiv community in the Congress is an important step towards establishing new international ties, attracting investments, and implementing projects that will contribute to the restoration and development of the territory.
